Site Plans, Installation Costs & Paperwork

Inserting the pool into the site plans

Allcast Plunge Pools are pre-engineered and come with all the standard specifications for drafting and architectural service providers to conveniently drop into their plans.

Approvals

Allcast Plunge Pools are pre-engineered to set specifications every time we make a pool. We provide the standard set of paperwork to the planning service providers and also to the approval organisations, whether this is a local council or a private certifier. This is a standard process for us and will easily fit in with our process. This process is generally managed quite quickly by utilising a private certifier.

Delivery costs

Allcast has its own crane trucks and partner freight company for a streamlined service and costs are favourable. Allcast utilises its own crane trucks to crane pools into place, typically saving approx $5,000 to $15,000 in crane costs. The installation can be done by you and incorporated into the site costs, or it can be 100% outsourced to Allcast Plunge Pools.

Pool contract

The pool can be included as an inclusion in the line items of your building contract, or the pool can be 100% outsourced through Allcast Plunge Pools.

Step 3

Site Preparation

48 hour “Drop and Play” installation process

We know that a key area of frustration for builders is the uncertainty around the time to build an onsite pool. Our 48 hour “Drop & Play” installation process will integrate seamlessly with your build program and in most project home building projects the pool is generally installed before the house is built.

Whether the install is being done by your team or you’ve outsourced the install to us, there are 3 easy parts:

  1. Survey peg out & mark up: The installer (yours or ours) attends the site with your project manager and surveyor when the peg out is undertaken and the dig location for the pool is marked out ready for the dig.
  2. Excavate the hole: Now the excavating contractor can dig the hole for the pool as per the exact specifications set out in the plans, ready for the pool to be installed the next day.
  3. Base preparation: The last step is to prepare the base using our simple base prep specification documentation, ready for the pool to be dropped into position the next day.

Pool Delivery on our Crane Truck

Our “Drop & Play” pool system means that the pool will be delivered directly to the site on the back of our crane truck and will be placed into position by our crane operator.

  • Your installation date is confirmed in the paperwork and controlled by the delivery date.
  • Pools always arrive on schedule, except in unsafe weather conditions.
  • Safe site access is required for delivery. If not possible, we’ll organise an accredited crane service provider.
  • Using our crane trucks can save $5,000–$15,000 in installation costs.

48 hours from the first scrape of the excavator and you will have an instant pool — that’s the Allcast “Drop & Play” pool system, renowned for speed.

Connect the Pool

Connect, back fill and hard cover

Allcast Pools are manufactured at our factory before arriving to your site, so all the fittings and trade installation points are in place and ready for the electrician and the plumber to commission the pool.

Back fill & anti-floatation bond beam

Once the stage 1 plumbing and electrical work has been completed, it’s time to back fill the pool. As per our engineering requirements and installation guidelines, if the pool is installed deeper than 50% of its height, we require an anti-floatation bond beam footing to be installed prior to backfilling the pool.

Electrical & plumbing connection

If the pool is being installed prior to the house being built, the stage 1 connection process is completed and taken to staging point, ready to be finally connected when the pool equipment pad and electrical points have been completed as per the build schedule.

Hibernation mode

Once the pool is installed, that’s it — nothing more to do until the house is built. We install a hard construction pool cover that will keep the pool safe while construction continues around it.

Plunge into Luxury!

So now the construction has been completed, you can remove the hard cover that was installed in the delivery stage and complete the landscaping and finishings such as decking, paving, concreting and decorating.

The next stage is safety fencing — usually the final stage that will allow you to book the final certification inspection. Then the pool will be ready to fill and swim.

Now the filtration system can be connected up to the pool, the pool filled, and the water balanced and ready for swimming.
